To the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Philippines:
Our party, the TKP/ML, learned with deep sorrow of the brutal killing of the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of the Philippines, Ka Laan (Benito Tiamzon), and the General Secretary, Ka Bagong-Tao (Wilma Austria-Tiamzon), along with 8 of their comrades by the fascist Philippine state on August 21-22, 2022. Our anger is as great as our sorrow. This cowardly massacre committed by the ruling classes of the Philippines, who are the lackeys of imperialism, has caused the physical lost of Ka Laan and Ka Bagong-Tao, whose lives were identified with the revolutionary struggle in the Philippines. However, as emphasized by the Communist Party of the Philippines, the new cadre, militants, and fighters raised by both leaders who have dedicated their lives to the revolution have taken over their flag by carrying their legacy. We have great faith in this. Paying a price is an inevitable part of the nature of revolutionary struggle. Sometimes, this price can be significant. However, the revolutionary struggle integrated with the masses of the people can raise new Ka Laans and new Ka Bagong-Taos. We know this truth from your revolutionary will, which has been demonstrated by filling the void after the loss of the Communist Party of the Philippines’ leading cadre such as Ka Joma (M. Sison), Julius Giron (Ka Nars), Jorge Madlos (Ka Oris), Menandro Villaneuva (Ka Bok), Antonio Cabanatan (Ka Manlimbasog), Eugenia Magpantay (Ka Fiel), and Mariano Adlao (Ka Panoy).
Members and militants of the Communist Party of the Philippines, commanders and Red Fighters of the New People’s Army, the working class and oppressed people of the Philippines:
The aggressiveness of the reactionary forces of the ruling classes of the Philippines, which is embodied in the fascist Duterte government, against the revolutionary war led by the Communist Party of the Philippines is not a coincidence. The deepening crisis of the imperialist capitalism and specifically the US imperialism, provides the ground for intensifying their aggressiveness, just as this crisis paved the way for the wave of rebellion that developed among the world working class and laboring masses that are directly affected by the crisis. They fear that this anger will merge with the revolutionary dynamic and shake their systems to their foundations. This is why they are attacking the revolutionary struggle that is developing under the leadership of the Communist Party of the Philippines and its leadership. They are not hesitant to sign any cowardly massacre. The unarmed captivity of Ka Laan, Ka Bagong-Tao, and their comrades, Ka Divino, the sub-regional secretary in Eastern Visayas, and Red Fighters Joel Arceo, Ka Yen, Ka Jaja, Ka Matt, Ka Ash, Ka Delfin, Ka Lupe, and Ka Butig, and their subsequent killing by exploding their boat in the middle of the sea, are signs of the impotence of the Philippine ruling classes, who are the lackeys of imperialism. We are not strangers to such massacres. We know these massacres because, The founder of the Communist Party of Turkey, which our party TKP/ML is a continuation of, Mustafa Suphi, and 14 members of the Central Committee were killed in the same way in 1921 by the fascist Kemalist dictatorship by sinking their boat off the coast of the Black Sea.
Every murdered revolutionary stimulates our consciousness to call fascism and their fathers- imperialism to account. Living will dedicated to revolution of every reolutionary who was murdered will serve as guiding lights for our revolutionary struggle. We know that the Philippine revolution will grow on the revolutionary legacy of Ka Laan and Ka Bagong-tao. We know that although Ka Laan and Ka Bagong-tao have physically taken away from us, they will continue to haunt the fears of the Filipino ruling classes who are the lackeys of imperialism in the revolutionary struggle of the Philippines. And we also know that the fingerprints of Ka Laan and Ka Bagong-tao will be on every bullet fired at the ruling class in the Philippine revolutionary war. Because they raised thousands of new Ka Laans and Ka Bagong-taos for the Philippine Revolution. The revolutionary memories, ideals, and practices of Ka Laan and Ka Bagong-tao will continue to live on in the People’s War struggle led by our Party beyond the borders of our country.
