Our class, the proletariat, has fought great epic battles in the struggle for communism, which have been written into history with the blood of our martyrs, our heroes and heroines of the class.
Today, each of our comrades in Colombia is just a part of our class. In our veins flows the blood of the class, flows the blood of our martyrs, and we carry it proudly in our bodies until the moment comes to spill it generously to serve the party and the revolution, following the example of our heroes and heroines. Our section in Colombia is only a part of the sections of the class. So we carry the blood of the martyrs of our class, the Colombian proletariat and the international proletariat.
In our bodies flows the blood of the heroes of the Paris Commune, the great Russian revolution, the great Chinese revolution, the blood of the heroes who died in the glorious people’s wars in Peru, Turkey, India and the Philippines. In our hearts beats the heart of the heroes who gave their lives in Colombia in the fight for communism. Not only are they not forgotten, but they live through us.
When we commemorate the heroes of the proletariat, we take their flags and rifles from the hands of the fallen fighters. When we sing eternal honour and glory to the heroes of the class, we swear to challenge death in their memory and to fight imperialism, reaction and revisionism to the death. When we commemorate our martyrs, we clench our fists to feel the blood of the class in our veins and fight lazy individualism to serve the class with greater effort and humility every day. The commemoration of our martyrs means to tighten our ranks to move towards golden communism.
